Graffiti is about putting out one’s personal views and
sharing them with the world. Contrastingly, advertising is about using
stereotypes and appealing to a certain audience with a goal in mind. I think it
is really interesting how these two forms of visual culture and public
art/information are really only divided in the reasons that they were made. One
is about expression and ignores what viewers want to see; the other is
cultivated with the viewer’s wants being the driving factor.
