leaving out to be verbs

For the first time ever I tried-out for a cheer team I didn't know for sure I would make. I felt a nervousness I hadn't felt since the sixth grade when I first started cheerleading. It's different having coaches that don't know the level of skill you already have. Knowing I have a tuck serves me no purpose if my new coaches don't know. Doing the actual tuck verses saying you have landed one before could be the deciding factor in rather or not you have a new cheer family. My previous coaches knew what skills I could pull off, even on a bad day. Hitting the mat in front of new faces on a bad day frustrated me to the point of tears.
